Development tools, modules and experiments for the BlitzMax ecosystem. A place for practical native code, careful APIs and the occasional idea that starts with ‘what if’.
The focus is BlitzMax-NG: modern native development with the directness that made BASIC fun in the first place.
Module details, source links and verified releases will be added as the collection is prepared for publication.
Releases
Net.OpenSSL 0.1.3 is a development candidate providing general OpenSSL 3 TLS-over-TCP streams for BlitzMax-NG: verified clients, servers, mutual TLS and STARTTLS, integrated with BRL.Socket and BRL.Stream. Clients verify the certificate chain and DNS/IP identity; TLS 1.2 is the minimum.
One cross-platform ZIP contains the module source, examples, tests, documentation, build helpers and Windows x64 native dependencies. Extract openssl.mod into BlitzMax/mod/net.mod, then compile an application with Import Net.OpenSSL. Start with examples/client.bmx, examples/server.bmx and the accompanying walkthrough.
Windows x64 includes OpenSSL 3.5.8 headers, import libraries, DLLs, CLI, license and provenance. Use tools/deploy-windows.ps1 to place both DLLs beside the finished executable, and supply a maintained CA bundle. Linux uses its distribution OpenSSL 3 development/runtime packages. Other target routes and their dependency requirements are documented in PLATFORMS.md; only Windows/Linux x64 have runtime validation.
This replacement follows the simplified BlitzMax credit style: the copyright notice is in the main openssl.bmx source file. Repeated credit blocks and the separate credits document are removed. TLS behavior is unchanged.
The exact ZIP was extracted into separate Windows x64 and Linux x64 module installations. The driver and both examples compiled on each; all 30 TLS integration cases passed on each release build. See VALIDATION.md for earlier debug/release and sanitizer results, and README.md for limits including synchronous DNS and the absence of CRL/OCSP checking.

CPU acceleration is selected at runtime on x86/x64. AArch64 has a NEON build path, and other architectures use portable C. Runtime validation covers Windows x64 and Linux x64; other targets need community validation. The module requires no external DLLs.
This source ZIP contains the module, example, full BLAKE3 vector tests, benchmark, documentation, and all bundled licenses. Extract blake3digest.mod into your BlitzMax mod/crypto.mod directory, then run bin/bmk makemods -a -r crypto.blake3digest (bin/bmk.exe on Windows). See README.md for API details and test commands.
Validation: 724,739 checks per standalone test run, plus the 20-test Crypto.Digest suite, passed on Windows x64 and Linux x64 in debug and release builds. Windows also passed the forced portable backend. The updated central digest test suite is available in the upstream contribution; this ZIP installs only blake3digest.mod.
